April Minutes:
Borawski made a motion to accept the April minutes as corrected. Lyons seconded the motion. The April minutes were unanimously approved with corrections.
Treasurer’s Report:
Krause
Krause presented the April Treasurer’s report. As of April 30, 2011, there is a balance of
$56,252.47 in the checking and savings accounts. The LGPD received payment from the Village of Long Grove. Lyons raised an inquiry about the cost of interns versus using independent people to assess the best alternative for getting specific projects done faster. Krause will provide the payroll spreadsheet for expense assessment.
A motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report was made by Bell. Wiberg seconded the motion. The April, 2011 Treasurer’s Report was unanimously approved.
Legal/Insurance - Wiberg:
Wiberg reported he will continue to connect with US Cellular regarding a cell tower.
Site Management - Wittig:
Snow blower
Borg will explore snow blower options and pricing and report his findings at a future meeting.
Teasel Removal -
Borg reported the Teasel removal crew will begin the removal program which was delayed due to rainy weather.
Buffalo Creek Park/Covered Bridge Trail - Martlock
Martlock reported she has been removing a lot of garlic mustard on Covered Bridge Trail. The rain has washed the gravel from the Trail. Lyons will call the Lake County Forest Preserve to gain their insights about how to keep the trail from being washed away by the rain.
Reed Turner Woodland - Wittig

Sports/Fields - Nathanson
Borawski reported the BGRA will replace the pitcher’s mound in Lemmon Hill. The fields have been very wet.
Recreation - Wittig
Wittig reported the summer brochure had been finalized and mailed.

Vice President’s Report - Lyons
Gravel for Parking Lot
Lyons reported some areas in the parking lot are washing away. Borawski will check with Palmquist to see if he could level the parking lot area.
FOIA
Lyons reported she will renew certification for FOIA as the representative for LGPD. This needs to be done each year by a commissioner.
Website Update
Lyons is contacting and interviewing for a new website developer.
President’s Report - Wittig
Neighborhood Partnerships
Oak Hills
Joseph Sazma, President of the Oak Hills homeowners association, has asked the LGPD for approval to put a light on the signed entrance to their development. The sign and light would be on the LGPD property. Wiberg will explore interest of the residents and report findings at a future meeting.
Royal Melbourne
Bell will continue to monitor the Park District area in Royal Melbourne to insure the trail remains clear.
Eagle Scout Projects
Two Eagle Scout projects are underway. One project is clearing the closet and adding shelves. Bassett is working with a second Scout to on a project, yet to be determined. The Scout will either: clear a portion of the Hampton Trail, clean out the dump area, or clean the area where the farm equipment is stored.

Borawski made a motion to move to adjourn the meeting. Lyons seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 pm.
